SMS Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Short version: Callverted never sends a text message. Not to you, and not to the people who contact your business. It does receive them: a text to your Callverted number is captured and shown to you like any other contact. This page exists so both halves are stated plainly rather than assumed.

This page describes what the product does today. It is not legal advice.

1. Nothing Is Ever Sent

Callverted runs no marketing SMS, no transactional SMS, no missed-call text-back, and no auto-reply. There is no SMS consent to give and no list to opt out of, because no message is ever sent — not even an acknowledgement to someone who has just texted you.

That is why receiving texts needed no consent flow, no message-frequency disclosure and no STOP or HELP program: those obligations attach to sending, and nothing here sends. Receiving a text is also never treated as permission to send one.

If that ever changes, we will update this page first — with the consent flow, message frequency, carrier disclosure, and STOP and HELP handling — before a single message goes out.

2. Texts to Your Callverted Number Are Captured

The dedicated number we provision for your business takes calls and receives texts. A text to it is stored, read the same way a call is read, and filed as a job or a message in your dashboard, with the same alert you would get from a call. Several texts sent within a few minutes of each other are treated as one contact rather than several.

The sender gets no reply. Their phone will say the message was delivered, and nothing will come back — you call them. If you would rather people did not text that number, say so wherever you publish it; we cannot tell them, because telling them would mean sending a text.

Before August 2026 this number was voice-only and texts sent to it were discarded. Those messages were never received and cannot be recovered.

3. How You Actually Get Alerted

New jobs and new messages reach you two ways, both of which you control in Settings:

  • Web push to the browsers and installed devices you enable, with the caller, the priority tier, and the estimated value
  • Email, either a full lead packet for a job or a low-key note for a message

Calls your own team answers are deliberately silent. You were already on the call, so there is nothing to alert you about. Weekly and monthly recap emails can be turned off in your notification preferences, and every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.

4. Contact
